JOLLY ROGER’S REVENGE:  PIRATE CAPTURE THE FLAG!!

Ahoy, Mateys! 

The game is simple, it’s capture the flag, with a little pirate flair.

 Get a pirate flag, for you as well as other would-be pirates, and personalize it, make it uniquely yours. This is so you can recognize yours after it’s been swiped. Also, you’ll want others to see yours and show some pirate respect! Beware the imposters! Authentic flags will need to be marked to show they’re part of the game. We marked ours with a GOLD TOOTH using a gold paint pen, the others are posers!

 You must fly your flag! From your boat, jet ski, kayak, from a flag pole or from your dock! Fly it proud!

 When attempting a capture you also must be in possession and flying your flag. For example, should you be a sneaky, stealthy, nefarious type coming by kayak, you’d better be flying that Jolly Roger, even in the dead of night!

 Upon capture of an opponent’s flag, return to your base, raise your captured booty, and display the spoils! Hell, you can parade around the lake, river or whatever body of water is home for your game, in full display of your plundered booty and with all the mockery a privateer can muster!

 Should someone abscond with your flag you must recapture your flag before you can steal another!

 To keep the fun safe here’s another rule…should a pirate be confronted mid-attempt to capture a flag, they are “compelled to be repelled” by water, be it from cannon, blaster, water balloon, bucket or any other fantastic contraption that can be conceived. Note: water is not only a defense. You can use said watery munitions while advancing upon a flag as well. If a flag defender is hit by water they must FREEZE for 5 seconds before continuing their defenses! Let the watery battles begin!

 If you are playing over a weekend or all summer long you’ll need to keep a tally of captures. We recommend creating a facebook page and/or and Instagram account for you game, and use the #JollyRogersRevenge tag so we can all enjoy your pirate shenanigans. Participants in your game can go to your game account page to see pirate happenings or perhaps figure out who has swiped their Jolly Roger!
